One of the characteristics of a culture is,"culture is learned." We learn culture from our families, friends, school and in the environment around us. Culture is learned as we develop different aspects in our lives. As we first came in this world, we do not possess instinctive pattern of behavior that will satisfy us.We don't have any knowledge about culture. But as we grow, we acquire different knowledge of what is culture. Everyone of us has the potential to discover new things and new inventions. Some cultures are become extinct and new culture arises. This means that culture evolves and as we are growing, new culture arises.
Culture is the distinct ways that people living differently classified and represented their experiences, and acted creatively. Every culture is different and not all culture remains as it was before. Culture change, as what i have learned from my sociology class last summer, one factor that culture changes is the adaptation of another culture from another. For example the culture of ones family in wearing clothes is very native, when the child got from school she learned that there clothes is not in, that's why she adopt the culture of others.
culture is diverse: I Researched what is mean by culuture siversity but there was no answers about what culture diversity means. for me diversity, in some ways, is whatever you make of it, so long as you understand that people are different and those differences should be respected in a free country. Culture should be regarded as the set of distinctive spiritual, material and emotional features of society or a social group, and that it encompasses, lifestyles, ways of living together, value systems, traditions and beliefs." In a diverse culture, these distinctive features vary a great deal between citizens. In general understanding despite of differences makes the culture diverseas it is.
These cultural capital influences include the role of parenting, families and close associates; organizations such as schools and workplaces; communities and neighborhoods; and wider social influences such as the media. It is argued that this cultural capital manifests into specific values, attitudes or social norms which in turn guide the behavioral intentions that individuals adopt in regard to particular decisions or courses of action. These behavioral intentions interact with other factors driving behavior such as financial incentives, regulation and legislation, or levels of information, to drive actual behavior and ultimately feed back into underlying cultural capital.
Culture is a set of learned behaviors, beliefs, attitudes, values and ideals that characterize a particular society or population. When we say that culture is shared by a group of people it means that a number of people are following or believing in a specific culture.Behaviors, beliefs, attitudes, values and ideals are shared by many group of people.
One of the characteristics of culture is "culture changed". All cultures change overtime.None is static. Changing one trait will have an impact on other traits because they are functionally interconnected. The belief that culture is symbolically coded and can therefore be taught from one person to another means that cultures, although bounded, can change. In our time nowadays cultures tend to change rapidly, especially in the areas of technology and human rights. There are many positive changes in our society like the interracial relationship.Changes can can come from habit, religion, and the integration and interdependence of cultural traits. Not all cultural changes are positive. In the other hand there is a negative changes and it can cause chaos in the society. Lets live life to the fullest.
When we say culture is ideational it uses ideas and symbols to give meanings to his environment and experiences. Every individual sees and approaches his world according to standpoint of his culture, within the culture are group of habits considered as ideal patterns of behavior which the members are expected to follow.
Culture Change Fact that as time goes by we tend to forget our culture. There are many instances in which could explained why our culture is changing. But for me I know that partially we are influenced by the environmental factors,We are also affected of different western counties traits and cultures.Anyhow, there are only few of us adapting it,but, mostly are totally changed! First,I would like to quote this word "social media",We are now focused with this latest activities that we do not know it was really the reason why we forget to preserve our culture,There are many information that could brain washed us,That somehow it is the reason why we tend to forget what our fore fathers had taught us. Second, the Politics in which we are governed by elite individuals,They make ways to divert the attention of young people in different latest events and activities. Third are the influenced of mass media like advertisements in television and radios. And I believe that this have one of higher rate that influenced us why we tend to forget our culture and to change it...
As general we need to preserve our culture and to adapt it.We have the power or right to pass it to our next generations.
CULTURE IS SHARED; Every individual has different culture. That is sociological sense to shared. Especially our own belief, traditions, our values, ideas, and our moral. For me, this is not my own world to live my own life. To culture my self, to learn my own, and to keep my knowing's about everything.About my belief, I can also be open to all, share everything of what I have learned from my past.I can also help and teach to the children.I am also willing to adopt the different traditions in my surrounding, to understand them, to accept of what they are.Every individual has different traditions, and belief, we can also share of what we have ,and to learn of what they have. For us to understand them, respect them. In our ideas, this is a big help to everyone, because no need research everything, you can just give an idea through to your experiences or in your learning's.
Everyone of us has different point of views about culture. Nevertheless, we can't deny the fact that its importance in this world plays an important role in our society. Our ancestors passed over those cultures we have now though they live in the wilds and named as nomads in our history. Their are many characteristics of culture and one of these is CULTURE IS DYNAMIC. In our daily interaction with different individuals and their different cultures we tend to adapt other cultures and in return we also influence others. Interaction greatly affects the changing of culture. Prior to that, culture must not be static, it should be dynamic in order for us to adapt also to the changing environment. We are expose in other traditions, beliefs and practices and somehow we find other culture more comfortable or more appropriate to practice rather than ours. With this kind of thought, it may lead to the change of culture in either a positive or negative way. Culture is integrated that's why when one system is change, all of the system are infected and should adjust. The most important thing is we respect each culture like what Cesar Chavez said ,"Preservation of one's own culture does not require contempt or disrespect for other cultures. Changes can be more satisfying without DISCRIMINATION.
One characteristic of culture is that culture is learned. We all know that community of people have their own respective culture that it is recognized and accepted. When we say culture it tackles about practices, beliefs, customs, traditions and etc. Based on my own understanding about culture is learned and acquired. Culture is learned because we have acquired these practices, beliefs, traditions unconsciously to those people who walked before us.
Culture is Dynamic. When culture arises together with the society, culture did not remain the same as the years go by. It undergoes change to fit to its components. It goes with the flow of the generations and the contribution of human to its continuous growth and development makes every culture achieve its goals to be adaptive enough and to break barriers that hinders the spread of it . The exchange of different cultures from different places form the possibilities that culture can adapt to its new environment and not die without undergoing change. In the recent years, culture reaches of attaching to technologies that serves as a tool to make culture more influential. Paul Jireh R. Gerodias BSED-2 C1
CULTURE IS DIVERSE Cultural diversity is the difference of which individuals are being perceived based on their ways of living and the behavioral activities they are following. When properly intermingled with the different cultural dynamics in the organization or society , it would definitely reflects a true epitome of an ideal working atmosphere where the input and contribution, talent, skills and unique resource of every individual who belongs to a distinctive culture can contour a prolific part of the organization. We can value anyone who belongs to an ethnicity without regards to cultural dispensation in line with, religion, disability, sexual orientation and racial prejudice.
“Although we have the colors of our own, but when these are being joined together, without a doubt it would shine the brightest”
CULTURE IS SHARED Culture affects and rules our lives in most aspects and sometimes we are aware and unaware of it.John F. Kennedy stated that,If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him.Culture is significant for it helps people to function as an individual in an easy way and in able us to understand and work advantageously.Human beings as social creatures, where culture is not natural but something achieved because of the environment one is raised in.We learn the culture as we observe others and it may be through learning consciously or unconsciously. While observing,we learn to interact and later on to imitate the culture of others. -TO GOD BE THE GLORY- Thank You
Culture have different and unique characteristics. One of these unique characteristics is that "culture is ideational", which suggests that one culture is ideal to the people in the certain society. One concrete example of it is the genital mutilation which is practiced by the people of north-eastern Africa, particularly Egypt and Ethiopia. This genital mutilation is known as female genital cutting and female circumcision, all procedures that involve partial or total removal of the external female genitalia, or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons. For us, Filipinos, it might sound awful and unacceptable, but for the people who practiced and are continually practicing it, this is ideal for this have been part of their culture and to contradict this means contradicting their culture. :)
CULTURES CHANGE -is more than a physical transformation. It is an emotional and psychological way of one self towards changing behavior or attitudes. Culture do change while norms, values, and beliefs seem stable, they do change over time through discovery and diffusion. Culture change means there is a development of your living condition, it is the stage of advancement in civilization..
We all know that culture is a people's heritage; it refers to the customary ways in which groups organize their ways of behaving, and thinking. As we born we already acquire what is our parents culture. Culture is the aspect of our existence that is common to some people but different in others. It is also a one way of interacting with other people.
culture is an ART! ART because Culture is the portal for artistic knowledge and discovery. People across all of the arts come together to learn, connect and share.
CULTURE IS LEARNED One of the characteristics of culture,as we grow we learned the culture of others by observing and interact with them.We learned their values, traits, behavior or attitude. After learning we imitate their culture.
" Everything is in a state of flux; Nor man can step twice in the same river."
In a simile statement, Culture is Change.
Some would say that culture is permanent. I would definitely say no. You know why? It is because permanence is just an illusion, and what is the only constant thing in this world is change.
What can you observe nowadays? From time to time and from generation to generation, culture changes. We can even notice that change is over-powering everything. There are even lots of beliefs and of course the occurrence of mixed cultures. These were influenced by the different factors including politics, religion, and science.
I have also this idea about why culture was told to be as change. Culture can influence; It creates and destroys at the same time; It provides and sustains something; It mends and heals the broken pieces. Why change is essential to culture? It is because "change" can reconstruct and can rebirth, and "culture can influence and can purify a soul. With that, I considered that Culture is synonymous to Change.
The culture is shared by the social interaction may take in many forms to transmit the beliefs, values and expectation of the human society. The exchange of social ideas may provide understanding and learning the human culture and tradition.
The culture works by social dynamism using language, communication technologies and commercial trade.
a) The use of language as a form of social communications such as group communication, informal communications, discussion and public speaking. The sharing of information is done through the transmittal of knowledge .The use of language or dialect may transmit information to the group of people that may later on learn and understand the culture, tradition, beliefs and expectations of a given society. The common human activities are the grapevine information, social occasions, and public debates.
b) The use of communication technologies through powerful media tools such as computers, televisions, DVD and cell phones. The modern technologies have gradually exposed universal culture that can easily transmit with mass media. The ethnic traditions and cultures are documentarily televised by cable programs such as national geographic or discovery channels. The modern fashion and fads of the western culture becomes the basis of global design in clothing for different occasions.
c) The commercial trade and global enterprises provide the better social exchange through the manufactured goods and services provide in the public and private enterprise. These technological change given the opportunity to sell products that are now fuse in the modern living of the human society.
The traditional concept of shared culture emphasizes the ethnic traditions, beliefs, norms and other social activities that may be transmitted by the elders and parents in the family and the tribe. However, the modern life has changed so many things in the sharing of the universal culture for all.
Cultures change. It is a factor wherein cultures in a particular society change in a course of time. Prior notions, suppositions and social values or etiquettes were evolved into modern perspectives. Diverse societies were engaged in some sort of acquisition of beliefs and notions that would eventually changed its culture. There was no stability when we said culture. It pertained about a certain influence of variety of culture in a particular society. If one culture would be influenced by the other culture there would be a probability of change or alteration of their notions, assumptions and even values between them. I will cite an example about how cultures change: In a customary days, women were governed by men, they have no authoritative acts or even privileges that have been imposed to them. But now in this enlarging and modern world, men and women have equal rights and privileges in the society wherein both of them have the consideration in dealing with some sort of jobs, business works and other expertises. Thus, cultures change indefinitely. No matter what is your innate cultures, considering also that cultures meet another culture so that there will be so-called social function and structure in a specific community.
Based on my own understanding about 'culture is learned' is all of us not been born with culture, us simply to learned it the way the culture initiates us through depending to the surroundings we may belong to be, and also in our cultural traits. For instance, culture that we learned like values, beliefs, tradition, traits, behavior...etc. Since culture is non-instinctive, we are not genetically programmed to learn a particular one......
Culture is one of the broad topics in Education. Culture is a person’s social heritage or the customary ways in which groups organize their ways of behaving, thinking and feeling. One important characteristic of culture is that “Culture is transmitted”. Yes, culture can be transmitted from one generation to the next generation. All animals are capable of learning. However, only humans can transmit their acquired knowledge and skills to their offspring. Humans can able to convey their way of ideas and feelings to the next generation. Culture is transmitted through conditioning the children to acquire attitudes essential in social life and by training them according to the patterns of behaviour, from that, Education is really important in transmitting the ways and patterns of one culture to the next generation.
CULTURE IS SOCIALLY SHARED One of the characteristics of culture which literally means; culture can be shared through communication in which people with different culture are communicating in order to share the things about their own culture. In that way, people in our society today are now already respecting and understanding the different culture of others. It is because through communication and socializing with other culture, we can earn more knowledge by sharing. In that case, people with different culture can possibly attain peace and harmony in all aspects of life.
CULTURE IS SHARED -- In the characteristic of culture,I chose CULTURE IS SHARED.CULTURED IS SHARED by the social interaction may take in many forms to transmit the beliefs, values and expectation of the human society. As I understand, this characteristic is so important to us because we all need communication. For example,in our daily lives. In this characteristic also, we can exchange our different ideas.Without communication, life was so miserable and maybe we could not appreciate life as well.By this, sharing of different cultures avoid conflicts because they will know on how to respect the culture of others.
CULTURE IS Transmitted -with these characteristic of culture we knows the different culture from the different group of people.. -according to my research as will as my understanding, culture is transmitted with the different ways. This is common in cosmopolitan areas. we will find people who slowly adopt the various foreign culture like us. it can be transmit from generation to another generation.
site as an example: from the practice of our adulthood, transmit to our parents it self and to us until to the next generation. :)
every individuals have different point of view about culture. And for my own understanding and i easy to understand i choose CULTURE CHANGE, Culture change is a term used in public policy making that emphasizes the influence of cultural capital on individual and community and other used in public policy making that emphasis's the influence of cultural capital on individual and community behavior. It places stress on the social and cultural capital determinants of decision making. The manner in which these interact with other factors like the availability of information or the financial incentives facing individuals to drive behavior and the common name given to the national movement for the transformation of older adult services, based on person-directed values and practices where the voices of elders and those working with them are considered and respected. Core person-directed values are choice, dignity, respect, self-determination and purposeful living, transformation may require changes in organization practices, physical environments, relationships at all levels and workforce models..
Culture is shared.Generation by generation the beliefs and practices of a certain people. We know that culture today is shared it because of communication to the other people.By communication we can understand what they beliefs, value, and behavior of their culture. As we can see that even in the movie we can get an information about a different culture because they show what culture are they.So we can apply that information to our lives as a guide if we want to go in different places so we are not innocent of what they doing. And also to avoid conflict to the other and respect their culture. That's why culture is shared through communication by sharing ideas, and beliefs.
One of the characteristics of a culture is,"culture is learned." We learn culture from our families, friends, school and in the environment around us.
ReplyDeleteCulture is shared.Generation by generation the beliefs and practices of a certain people.
